Question
Hi Don,I have a 1986 325e bmw, what is the best way to replace the tps sensor is that with a ohm meter?what should the ohms read.and my heater/ac fan only blows on high speed is that a resitor?Thank you Jake

Answer
The basic test for the TPS is at closed throttle while opening it slightly you will hear it click. You can use an Ohm meter to see if at closed throttle it has continuity, open when just slightly opened then continuity at wide open throttle. The basic check though it listening for the click when just opening the throttle. The heater resistor is probably bad as at high speed you have direct current.
