Question
Hi,
My wife has a 2004 2.0d se bmw x3 the emission light came on a few months ago, the garage read the code as P3263 and said a new Air Flow Meter was required. this fixed the problem for 2 months then the other day it came back. The same code was found and they replaced the AFM as they thought it was faulty. it has lasted a week and the light is on again with the same code being found. I am no mecanic but even I know AFM are very reliable and this can't be the issue.. Have you seen this before can you advise ?

Answer
One maybe but never like that. You obviously have other issues.Just because the code may say or lead to an AFM other issues should be examined. The basics filters, pressure checks. The condition of the hoses and seals.Other items could cause your code.AFM are not an everyday replaceable item.
