Question
I have a 1998 318i that has new hoses,clutch, water pump,head gaskets car still runs hot, have not bled the system yet, how can I tell if the head is warped or cracked without taking the head off?

Answer
First you can do a cylinder leak down test which puts air into the cylinder and you can determine where it is leaking from .To determine wether it is warped or not should have been check while the head was off for the head gaskets.You can also check to see if there is any blockage in between the radiator and the a/c condenser which does from time to time fill with road debris(ie dirt,bugs)
