Question
2007 BMW 335i sedan 6spd vin# WBAVB73507PA65349
A service light came on about 1 month ago. Not sure what a Circle with a AC analog waveform going across the center of it and (()) to the sides mean. Vehicle did not come with a service manual. symbol looks like:
((O)) circle is half yellow and half black.

How would you reset service light indicator? Do you need a scan tool or is there a reset button on steering wheel or dash?

Answer
I believe the indicator it is the brake pad sensor that you are talking about.Have the pads checked and serviced. The sensor comes on when then circuit is either grounded(pads worn) or open(wire broken). It obviously hasn't cause any drivability problems. To shut the light off the brakes will need servicing or inspected there is no reset for this light.
