why is it that my airbag and check engine soon lights are constantly displaying in the dashboard

Answer
Your airbag light is likely on because there is a fault somewhere in your SRS system.  Suggestion is to get a Peake reader/reset (FOR SRS!!)and find out for yourself what it is and reset it when you have fixed it.

The check engine is likely unrelated to it.  You can either get a Peake reader for this (NOT the SRS!), or you can take it to most parts places (AutoZone, O'Reillys, etc) and get it read and reset.
