Question
Hi, my 323i (2000) parkign brakes do not work properly. On a upward slant, after applying parking brakes, the car still skids downward. I have got it tightened but still to not good effect and infact it has started to give a noise around the rear wheels, while in motion. Whats the problem? and What should be done? Thanks.

Answer
Can't tell from your description if the problem is in the brake handle/cable adjustment, or binding in the wheels.

If you have adjusted the cable to where it is correctly setting the parking brake shoes, there may be some noise for a bit of time since they were mis-adjusted prior to this.
