BMW Repair/rear window won't close on 323ci

Question
I have a 2000 323ci coupe, the left rear window is stuck open. I hear no sound when i press the button. First, can I close it manually somehow? Second is a more likely a switch or a motor problem?

Answer
If there is no sound, and all the other windows work, it is likely the switch.  If there are window switches both at the console and the rear panel, try both switches.

These switches go bad quite often.  If you are so inclined, you can take them apart and clean the internal contacts.

There is no manual alternative.
