Question
Hi Don,My oil light never lights up the key on motor off.I have two wires on sending unit are they power or grounds Can you tell me what to look for or check? the car is a 1986 325e bmw Thank you Jake

Answer
The oil pressure switch has 1 wire and is located by the oil filter. If the bulb does not illuminate than I would suspect a bulb possibly being burnt. To check you need to remove the cluster from the car and check the bulbs. You should also check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge by removing the switch.
