Question
I have recently got a 318i running through troubleshooting, but after checking the fuses (with no diagram) and the subsequent wires to the lens with a test light. I can only figure that its a fuse..I know I need to get a manual but am I missing something or do you know of how I could get a diagram picture for the fuse panel for now??

Answer
I am not sure wether the brake light is out or the display is saying the brake lights are out.You have checked power? then check for the grounds(brown wires).Although the display may say there is a light out you need to physically check that it is,have some press brake to confer. If it isn't out then check the bulbs, although it may work it maybe different then the other side(even manufacturer)make sure both bulbs are correct and the same. Also when replacing bulbs make sure it is correct,I have seen many application books that say a dual filament bulb and many do not require one
