Question
I have a 2002 25i 2 door. I am building confidence to make a repair.
My window on passenger side goes down 4" from the switch and goes back
Up from the switch. Is this caused by a bad module? I have not tried anything
else to get my window working for fear of jamming up the motor.

If nothing is blocking its travel ie; wiring harness ect, then it probably is the motor/modual assy.

If the car is a coupe,then the repair is a bastard to doI believe as you need to remove the motor and regulator to do it.

Good luck, worth having a look to see the window and regulator are free from obstructions first.
