hi there i have a o1 bmw e46 320-2.2 coupe..just wanted to know my fronth spot lights wont work ..but if i remove the bulb from the spotlight and fiddle it both on same sides will work ,,so i put in back in then turn off the light and try again,,would they stay on but they dont,,,i also opened the glove box and heard the click noise off the fuse OR relay ? when pressed the spot light switch on...any idea please much appreciated thanks so much,,

assuming you refer to what I would call the fog lights?
Dont really understand what you mean by fiddle in on both sides?

Get a multi meter, ensure you are getting both power and earth to the bulbs first, then check the bulbs themselves (continuity).
