Question
hello, appricate ur time first off. bmw 318i 1984, the car has just had all these parts replace ing mod, distrubator, plus wires, plugs, coil, fuel filter any type of filer, oil, gas,battery, pretty much a new firing system. ok to the problem the car starts reves to 2200 rpm and then shuts off? injection mod is working the relays are working ,  the afm is working, i have fuel going thru the motor, the ing mod is working, where do i look next?

It does sounds like you have repleced alot of parts,hopefully all new and the correct ones.Your next step would be to check the fuel pressure to make sure it is correct.The rubber hoses and seals need also to be not cracked or leaking.The throttle plate be clean and adjusted to about .002.The Idle control valve clean and adjusted properly.The idle control module( in glovebox)and Idle control valve(on intake) often failed when the vehicles were new and most have been replaced.The idle surges up and down,you probably have many issues but having the basics correct is the best start.Check the timing as well,that is checked at 2200 rpm no vac on dist,adjust to seeing the ball in the flywheel.
