BMW Repair/Wiper Fluid Failure

Question
Hi Don:
I recently purchased a 2004 330 CI.  I just found out the wiper fluid is not working.  I checked the washer fluid and it is full.  I read some notes from other folks who have written to you about similar issues. You told them to check the fuses, then hoses and pumps and then take a pin and try to make sure hoses are not clogged.  Well...I don't know where the fuses are?  Can you help me start there and then I can go on to the next round of troubleshooting.  How do I know if fuse is blown.  Would it be darker in color or something like a light bulb?  How much does a new fuse cost and how to I know exactly which one it is if there is more than one. Please advise.  I appreciate it.

Answer
I believe the fuse box is under the hood.A test light would be what you need to test to see if there is power to the circuit. If you have the owners manual it will give details of which fuse it may be.Fuses are not much money, they come in 5 packs mostly and are relatively cheap.
