BMW Repair/750iL knock sensors

Question
I have more info for you. Bmw says the '94 750iL didn't use knock sensors. Remember, mine has a '94 block and heads with '96 everything else. The sensors were left on during the changeover. Should I buy new ones and attach them, or leave them off? If I leave them off, there will be four empty connectors where they connected to the wiring harness.

Answer
by changing just the heads you need to keep the basic engine components working. The only thing you are doing is changing the physical components of the head, the engine management or control needs to remain as it was fron to factory.I would say that yes you need the sensors
