Question
Hi Bob...

I steam-cleaned motor, now runs rich & fouling plugs. I discovered AFM full of water. I believe it shorted out & is deemed no good.

IS THEIR ANOTHER induction unit from another mfgr that will work on my 528e ?

Thanks Much,

Michael Patterson

Answer
The names Don,but anyhow the question of a different induction unit may only be an aftermarket air filter system. The AFM is totally needed and the car will not run with out it.Where it is running rich and fouling the plugs I would check the fuel pressure first. It should be about that listed on the fuel pressure regulator (about 2.5 bar).I haven't ever seen one shorted out before. Good luck let me know
