Question
all three of these things are not working. The odometer was not working when I got the car, the dash lights just recently went out and the hazards lights do not come on

Answer
Larry,
It sounds like you have a bad ground in the system somewhere.  Check all the brown wires under the dash (grounds) and follow them to their attachment points.  If necessary, remove the wires from their ground spot, and clean it with sand paper or a scotch-brite pad.

 Good luck,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions relating to the BMW E30 3-series cars built from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertible) in the US. I know of the problematic areas in these cars and how to fix them. I know most parts of the car including: Electrical, Engine, Transmission, Differential, Suspension, etc...

Experience

I have owned 6 different E30's over the last 10+ years, and know almost every nut and bold on the cars.
