Question
1997 BMW 328IS
I recently has m check engine light turn on.  I checked the fault codes and recieved the following:
p442 Evaporative Emission Control System leak detected (small leak)
p1250 Early Fuel Evaporation (EFC)Heater Circuit Fault
p0420 Catalyst system efficiency below threshold(bank 1)
The only problems I have noticed is a little extra time for the engine to turn over when you start it up cold.  There is also a strong fuel oder when the engine is started cold.
Thank you for your help

Answer
Having checked the codes,do they reappear when you clear them?Does the o2 sensors work as they should?Has it ever had a skip?Check all your vaccum lines, clear the codes and check them again.Don't fuel up when the vehicle is running also,it will set a light too.
