Hi Don,I have a 1993 325i and the airconditioner is malfunctioning (just starting today) by not turning on unless you turn the knob up to level 4, the highest level. Thank you for any help on what this might be. Cara

Is the fan the item not working until you get to level 4?or does it not cool to the set temperature?If it is the fan I would look at the resisters as the determine the speed of the mototr spinning.If it is the a/c operation,have the a/c recharged and checked.
