Question
i don't know why, but the ASC comes on without my turning it on and it won't go off.
even when i turn off the engine and restart it later, ASC will come on again.
how do i turn off the ASC feature?

Answer
The switch for the ASC is as you know in the center of the console.Many factors are involved with ASC/ABS.Tires ,brakes,vehicle speed.It will come on by itself although you can shut it off.If there is a problem with the system it needs to be check with a scann tool able to check BMW circuits.The system is not adjustable so I would have it looked at.
