BMW Repair/Driver's Seat Problem

Question
Hi, I have a 1996 BMW 330i 4 door sedan with premium package.  The driver's seat reclines just fine, but it does not come back up.  I am afraid that someone else may accidentally recline it even further.  What is the nature of this problem and how much will it cost to fix?  This is the only problem with the driver's seat, as I can move the seat up and down and forward and backward without any problem.  Thank you very much for your help.

Answer
sounds like a broken wire.Remove the seat switch.Take a test light and determine which wire it is.By using a test light it will temporarely supply a ground and that circuit will work. You can then figure out which wire you need to repair. It is more than likely a wire that is bubbled or green inside the casing. You'll have to splice a new section of wire.
