BMW Repair/Engine Change

Question
I have a 1987 325e which I'd like to do a little surgery on but need some advice before proceeding. I'm planning on taking the head from a wrecked 1990 525i and putting it on the 2.7 block of my 325e and wondered what challenges I'm going to face. Are there logistics issues with the parts swap that I need to be aware of or will everything mount up without a problem? Are there any cool modifications or upgrades I should consider as I'm transitioning this engine? I'd appreciate any information you may have.

Answer
That is a good swap. The head should bolt right on.The differences being there is no cold start valve in an "i" engine so you will have to use the "e" intake.I believe your going to gain as the valves are larger, more air/fuel = more power.A compouter chip is also nice a bit pricey but well worth the cost.Have fun and good luck
