Question
I have a 1998 740i BMW.  The radio unit has missing buttons and the display crystals are mostly blown, making reading the display difficult.  How do I remove the unit and do you have suggestions on repair or replacement?

Answer
Radio replacement is my suggestion.Having it done is the easiest way as most radio places install for a minimal or free amount.The wiring is another thought encountered,they would know what to do.A factory system is quite costly so an aftermarket system is the way to go.
