Question
I have a 96, 328I with 131k miles.  Lately when I drive I hear a noise when I turn the steering wheel.  The noise sounds like a spring in the steering column.  What would something like that cost to fix?  Not rich so, I need a rough idea.

Thanks

Answer
Its hard to say actualy, there are many things that could cause the problem.Have the front end checked out, maybe lower ball jonts(control arm),a bad strut, could be anything. The best bet is to jack it up and move the front end and see wnat it might be.
