Question -
problem starting my 1985 325e in cold weather, warm weather runs like a new car.

Answer -
Harvey,

Do you have any more information other than it just wont start?  Any strange noises? Do you smell gas fumes?

Give me a little more information and I'll try to help

Josh,  It would turn over till battery drained. So I let sit till weather got above freezing . Then it started.

Answer
Harvey,
It really could be several things.  The cold start injector may not be releasing additional fuel.  The fuel may be gelling (however rare) in the cold temps.

I would make sure you are getting adequate fuel pressure first, then check for spark.

 Good luck,
 Josh

Expertise

I can answer questions relating to the BMW E30 3-series cars built from 1984-1991 (1992 for convertible) in the US. I know of the problematic areas in these cars and how to fix them. I know most parts of the car including: Electrical, Engine, Transmission, Differential, Suspension, etc...

Experience

I have owned 6 different E30's over the last 10+ years, and know almost every nut and bold on the cars.
