Question
01' 325ci coupe. No matter where you put the speed control for the fan in the heater or air conditoning mode, the fan runs full bore or flucuates up and down. I have heard of this in other bmw's also. Do I need a blower motor resistor to correct the problem?
I do not think a resistor will cure your problem.The fan is working but you said at full speed or its flucuates,when it is on where is it blowing? If it goes to the defrost then the system is going into a failsafe mode.I would be looking at the grounds to make sure they are secure and check the connections as corrosion might have happened.
