Question
My blower is broken for sure on my 525i, 2001. No heat, air, or defogging capability.  I have 78,000 miles on the car and want to keep it, but don't want to pour lots of money into it.  What do you think this repair would cost without going to the Dealer, and how can I find someone to work on my car ( North suburbs of Chicago).  Thanks

Answer
I'm not sure what the labor rate is there but flat rate time on the blower motor change is 2.6 hours and that is by somebody  that has done the job before. As for finding some one I'm not sure what to say.I would find a respectable garage  and go from there. The motor itself may be the big dollar part I'm not sure but I would exspect it to be over 200.00
