Question
1992 750il, vin/n/a-is it possible to put the car in park and have it come out of gear and roll? (emergency brake not on) Is it normal to be able to turn the car off when in drive? Twice I have gone to my car in the am and it has rolled forward into a neighbors car. Thank you for any input. Judy
First off you should use your emergency brake as it is there to protect you and others.As for it coming out of gear I haven't heard of that.I would check your shifter cable to make sure it is adjusted correctly.It also maybe worn and stretched.So have that checked and try to start using the emegency brake.If it has been a long time since it was used have the cable and the shoes for wear also.
