Question
I have the code.  I replaced the battery.  I reset the clock.  I turn the radio on, CODE appears, I then enter the code with the buttons 1-6 must below the CODE message.  It beeps as I enter the fifth and last digit.  I have an owner's manual but nothing else.  It is a 1993 525i.  Do you know how I can enter the code so I can use my stereo again?  I know the code is correct.....it is on the BMW plastic card.

Answer
You must let the system die down,by that I mean you must leave the key in the on position for I believe an hour then try the code again. If you can remove the radio you can remove the fuse on the back of the radio to let it bleed down and then retry the code.
