Question
i had a customer bring me the vehicle with a crack head. i replaced the head  put new timing chain. the problem im having is it wont start it sounds like it has no compression. it has spark and fuel i set the timing by the bmw chilton manual how would i know if the camshaft position sensor is bad and could that cause my problem.

Answer
I would check the compression. And recheck the timing chain installation and hope it was on correct before you cranked it over as bad things happen when not installed correctly(bent valves). If that is correct then put some oil in the cylinders as you may have washed down the cylinders when doing the head job(I've seen that done). Check the compression with a gauge and not by ear.
