hi don hope you can help me, i have a 2002 x5 3.0 ltr. the aux fan does not operate when the a/c is turned on, also when idling the temp creeps up close to the red  

Answer
It sounds as if your fan doesn't work at all as it should come on when it gets hot idling.You should check the power to the fan motor and check the fan motor by seeing if when you supply power to it,it will work or not.Check all your fuses to make sure they good.
