QuestionIn the Lurker's guide, there is a JMS quote in which he says that he would write a short story about GKar and Lyta's journey.
Then in Legend of the Rangers, GKar says that Lyta is "gone".
Was there ever a short story, and if there was, what happened?
Thanks.
Answerthere was a short story in a magazine by JMS with gkar and lyta on their journeys.
it was a visit to a planet which had psi peopel on it who tried to trap them there by them seeing only what they wanted to see, ie paradise. gkar and lyta though both in unique ways figured this out and avoided the trap.
it also involved a trip to narn, and gkars return which didnt go as planned as they still wanted him to be leader. natoth had done very well for herself though.
the story didnt say what happened to gkar and lyta but i believe she died in the telepath war, because in a call to arms the news at the start cuts off right before it says who died and it hink they would have said lyta there.
otherwise lyta would have been in crusade, or such.
maybe she died, mybe she "became" like ironheart its up to the imagination, we know gkars final fate but not much of his final years and how he ended up back on centauri prime.
please excuse the lack of good details on the short story it was about 3 years ago i read it and i dont own a copy to revise it.
hope this has been some help
