Bahamas/Help with out islands vacation

QuestionHi -
I think my husband & I would like to go to the out islands for a 6ish night stay sometime between 2/29 & 3/23 (preferably on the front end of those dates). We're choosing this area b/c we can't be gone as long this year & we don't want to travel as far (we're coming from north midwest US). We enjoy a very laid back casual vacation & have enjoyed Plancencia, Belize (Green Parrot cabanas), Treasure Beach Jamaica (MarBlue) & Tulum, Mexico (Neuva Vida Cabanas). We'd like to stay right on the ocean & the places I just mentioned should give you an idea of the kind of accommodations we enjoy. We've been able to find these types of places at about $150/night in other spots. While we're there, we'd like to snorkel, kayak, maybe fish (my husband enjoys both fly & deep sea) & then maybe one other activity depending on where we are (we enjoy birding, hiking, biking etc.). We prefer to be at a spot where we can walk or golf cart to a little "town" to enjoy local spots for meals. We also prefer to just have 1 layover & I've found some flights that look reasonable to: Andros Town, George Town, & Governors Harbour. Can you give us an idea of whether any of these destinations would fit our needs? And if so, where should we stay? Thank you so much! We're a bit last minute this year & don't have as much time for research!
AnswerHi, I really enjoyed the out islands compared to the larger ones, they are so much more laid back. Here are a couple of sites for you to check out. Our favorite was HopeTown, you can rent cottages by the week and it is only one town on the island. Check these out, if you go to one, send pictures!! LOL
Hope you enjoy your vacation.
