About Barry Benjamin
Expertise
I am a hotel owner in the Out Islands for the last 30 years. I would like to help people understand what the Out Island experience is all about. I can answer questions about what hotels are like, what to do there, if they are moderate or expensive, who goes there generally, what the weather is like, what there is to do on individal islands, some contacts of people to talk to, a little history of some of the islands and my opinion on what are the most comfortable places to visit.

Question
Hi there,
We are planning on travelling to the Bahamas for our honeymoon in the middle of September. I know this is hurricane season but is it still an ok time to go to the Bahamas or will it be raining all the time?

Answer
Shanna:
It is a roll of the dice as far as good weather in September anywhere in the Caribbean. If there is no hurricanes the weather usually is pretty good. You can look at www.bahamas.com or www.bahamas-info.com for temp and rainfall averages monthly for the Bahamas. I hope this helps.
