Bahamas/Bahamas in august

QuestionHi! Thank you for taking the time to read this question. My husband and I can only travel in august and have been all over except the Bahamas. We booked a trip to go to Freeport, Bahamas and stay at the westin/sherton from August 14-21st. I am sort of panicky because of the rain fall that is stated online. Our travel agent ensured us that determining if the weather will be rainy is unrealistic. Online it appears that if it does rain it is for a short time span and then will get sunny again. Do you have any input for reassurance on how the weather may be? We see pictures of the Bahamas and are praying its half as wonderful as the pictures look!
thank you for your time!

AnswerHi,
I have never been to Freeport, but I guess the weather is pretty much the same all over the islands. We usually go to the out islands like the Abacos, they are so much more peaceful. And yes the islands are just beautiful! I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves. The rain does usually come up pretty sudden, but then stops and you will have a beautiful day!
Have a good trip :)
