Hello Nita!  The company I work for is taking me and my coworkers to the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas as a gift.  I am 25 years old, I live on the East Coast of the US, and I have never been to any kind of resort or island.  Do you know anything about Atlantis?  I will have to buy my own food, and I would like to do something active, but I don't have a lot of money and I don't want to get pick-pocketed either.  Also, is bringing packaged food (pretzels, etc) from the US to the Bahamas allowed?  I want to have something to snack on in my travels without buying everything at the resort.
I'll appreciate any information you can give me!

  I don't know anything about Atlantis, but you might want to try and go to this website: www.belize.com    It might tell you more information about the food,etc. We didn't take anything in, but you never know about the different countries. We went to Ambregis Caye and never made it to Paradise Island, but it sounds great! If you like to snorkel, the water is great and you can see lots of fish there. Sorry I couldn't have been more help. Hope you have a great time!
