Expert: Nita - 2/14/2004

Hello There,
   We have been living aboard our 46' cutter for 7 months now, sailing around florida from Tampa to Ft. Lauderdale, hanging out in the Keys mostly. We are planning to look for a good weather window towards the end of Feb., to come over to the Bahamas for a few months, thats the plan anyways...
   Here's the problem though. Two of our boys want to come visit us mid April,for a week, and we're trying to get info on air or ferry travel from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, without having to sell an arm or a leg to get it done!
   Any info, on cruising the Bahamas, and travel to and from for the two teens would really help!

Rick, The only way that I know is to fly over to the Bahamas, unless like yourself you are sailing over. Where are you planning to meet your sons at? We flew into Marsh Harbour in the out islands which I thought were fantastic. The prices on the airlines I don't know about, you will just have to check and see different ones. Just wish I were going with you right now, so cold here in Oklahoma!!! LOL
