About Barry Benjamin
Expertise
I am a hotel owner in the Out Islands for the last 30 years. I would like to help people understand what the Out Island experience is all about. I can answer questions about what hotels are like, what to do there, if they are moderate or expensive, who goes there generally, what the weather is like, what there is to do on individal islands, some contacts of people to talk to, a little history of some of the islands and my opinion on what are the most comfortable places to visit.

Question
I don't fly and I want to go to nassau for a week, is there any boat I can take over there, get off stay a week and return on a boat
kathy

Answer
There are many cruise ships that go to Nassau. You would have to check with them to see if they would sell you effective one way passage for yourself to Nassau and then one way passage back to Florida (I assume). The only other scheduled boat service to the Bahamas (that I know of) goes from West Palm Beach to Freeport. YOu might check with www.bahamas.com to see what they have listed on the Ministry of Tourism's web site.
