Bahamas/Piano gigs in the Bahamas

As an American, you have to have a "work permit" to play in the Bahamas. As a musician, it is highly unlikely that you would qualify for such.  They are issued only if Bahamians are not available to fill the jobs.  We do have many Bahamian musicians.  Your skill or expertise is not really considered. Your employer has to apply for the permit after you do all paper work.  See work permits Bahamas Immigration. IF a large hotel like Atlantis needed you, you might get a permit, but slim chance.  You can be a teacher if you have teaching  background. Pay varies widely according to situation/gig.

I am a hotel owner in the Out Islands for the last 30 years. I would like to help people understand what the Out Island experience is all about. I can answer questions about what hotels are like, what to do there, if they are moderate or expensive, who goes there generally, what the weather is like, what there is to do on individal islands, some contacts of people to talk to, a little history of some of the islands and my opinion on what are the most comfortable places to visit.
