Question
i started doing ballet this year again. i did it when i was little and some time after that. i quit for a while because i moved. i am 14 i started ballet at 13. will i be able to get onto pointe before i reach collage so i can go to a performing arts school?

Answer
It all depends on your strength, your technique, and the opinion of your teachers.  It sounds like if you work diligently and are getting good training you will be able to start pointe before college.  If not, there are some college programs that do not require a pointe audition.  I know that Butler college doesn't require applicants to audition en pointe.

Good luck with everything!

Expertise

I can answer lots about ballet, specifically the Vaganova syllabus. I'm still training, but both my parents were professional dancers, so most answers will be coming from them, not me. :) They're the experts. Obviously, questions about difficult technique, etc, would be better answered with someone else, but if you're just becoming interested in dancing, or are having problems with basic steps, like pirouettes or plies, then I may be able to help

Experience

I've seen ballet since the age of 0, because of my parents, and I am training to become a professional dancer now.
