Question
Hi
My name is Sarah and i started Ballet when i was 11 i am 12 now .I  Really really  want to be a professnail dancer
but am i too old?

Answer
Hi Sarah. I don't know if you are too old to train for professional ballet or not. I cannot see you or your work in class. I also do not know what kind of training you are getting.

Theoretically, 9 -10 years of age is a good time to start ballet training. An exceptionally gifted or hard working student could start later, if their physique suited ballet.

Have you asked your teacher? Do you understand your stronger and weaker points in your class work?

There are many aspects of training to address in answering your question. And only someone watching your work can tell.

I'm sorry I cannot really answer you - but you can get an answer, and I would start with your teacher or other teachers at the studio where you take classes.

All the best, Dianne
