Question
i just started dance this year and i am 13. i absolutely adore it! i have done some ballet and modern.i want to dance professionally and im wondering if thats possible and what it would take.
thanks

Answer
It's definitely possible!  It may be more difficult for you, starting later, but if you work hard, have the dedication, and get the right training, you can do it!
So, to be a professional ballet dancer, you have to find the correct training first.  Find a trained teacher, preferably one who has danced  professionally in the field you want to go into. I've had good experiences with Vaganova trained teachers, but there are other teaching methods that work well too.
You will have to take class at least 5 days a week, and many dancers take class 6 days a week, with two classes on some of those days.
Talk to your teacher about your aspirations.  He or she will be able to address their advice to your specific needs.
Best of luck, and don't give up on your dreams! =]

Expertise

I can answer lots about ballet, specifically the Vaganova syllabus. I'm still training, but both my parents were professional dancers, so most answers will be coming from them, not me. :) They're the experts. Obviously, questions about difficult technique, etc, would be better answered with someone else, but if you're just becoming interested in dancing, or are having problems with basic steps, like pirouettes or plies, then I may be able to help

Experience

I've seen ballet since the age of 0, because of my parents, and I am training to become a professional dancer now.
