Question
Hi my name is andreina, I am 16 i started ballet when i was 10 and stopped before turning 13 . I now want to start again . But here's my problem, I am 5'8 and weigh 135lbs, am i to big and old to start once again??

I took 2 and a half year of ballet so i know pretty much lots of thing , I'm not good, but i know I've got the hands movement going on pretty well, do you think i would be able to be a good ballerina (even though i don't want to become a professional) besides my age and height?
And by the way i have a big cheast, is that really a problem?

Answer
Hi Andreina. No there is no problem with your physique.

Starting ballet again might feel different than it did before. The faster you gain strength, the better ballet class will feel.

Also, you may not have finished growing yet. You may end up longer and leaner looking. Taking ballet will actually help with that.

I have written many articles on ballet technique, and healthy eating also, which can be found at http://www.theballetstore.com Some are in the blog area. You will get some good tips from the information in them.

All the best, Dianne.
