Question
What are the benefits of teaching Classical Ballet to children?

Answer
Hi Hayley. You mean for the children? This sounds like a homework question and I would only be able to tell you the standard answer - training strength, reflexes, coordination, memory, balance, and grace, is all to be gained by studying ballet. That could all be elaborated upon up to the point of writing a book.

Perhaps importantly, why ballet classes and not swimming, track or team sports? Because any art engages an individual on a soul level, that's my belief. It opens up a vista on life that otherwise cannot be experienced.

Children instinctively know this and appreciate it. That is what I believe anyway.

Hope that is a good answer for you! All the best, Dianne
