Ballet/Ballet Academies and Hours of Lessons

Question
When looking at Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, Moscow Choreographic Academy, UFA Ballet School, KIEV Choreographic School, Kirov Academy of Ballet, etc... I am trying to find the actual structured hours of ballet lesson per day that they require of their students (in addition to their academic studies). I have been told 8 to 10 hours a day in addition to the academics. When researching I found Vaganova to be 6 hrs/day, Kirov to be 4 hrs/day, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School to be 4.5 hrs/day. Could you please enlighten me more on this subject?

Thank you - Norm B

Answer
Hi Norman. I'm not sure how I could enlighten you more on the subject of class hours. Every ballet school may be slightly different, depending on academic levels, and other demands such as exam or performance preparation.

You would have to contact every school if that is the information that you need.
