Question
I am 43 yrs.old I want to learn ballet there is not a class for adults near my town , so is there a DVD that you could refer me to I am in good health mentally & physically I do yoga 4 days a week & walk 5 miles a day. Can you help me. Thank you Kristine

Answer
Hi Kristine. I really can't recommend that you learn ballet from a DVD. Ballet is too detailed and demanding to learn without a teacher, although the market is bearing the distribution of many 'learn at home' products.

I see that you take very good care of yourself and stay fit, which is wonderful.

One class on DVD I can recommend is Classical Stretch. It is designed by a retired professional ballet dancer, and is balletic in that it trains for elongated muscles with lots of stretching, and it is a strenuous strengthening workout.

you will see a Classical Stretch DVD "Full Body Workout" and "Athletes Intensive Stretch" (one DVD). It is one of the more technical of the classical stretch series and I think you would find it challenging and enjoy it.  I hope you try it out.

All the best, Dianne
