Question
hello, i don't know whether you can answer this but i am 14 i do dance
lessons and shows, but i would love to become a professional dancer, i
understand the hard work and determination it takes, but i don't know
whether i am too short..is there a height limit on professional dancers? My
aunty had the same problem she went to the most amazing dance schools
but they said she couldn't become a professional because she was too small

thanks

Answer
Hi Elisabeth. My experience in the professional ballet school world is that if you are considered talented and are a hard and responsible worker, being short is never a detriment. Look at how tiny some of the major ballerinas are!

Doing some auditions at professional schools is the quickest way to find out how you are viewed for training potential.

I hope this helps! All the best, Dianne
