Ballet/pointe shoes

Question
Hello! I am a journalism graduate student and I am currently writing an article to be published in a dance magazine. I am writing about pointe shoe makers, how makers are aging and their craft is not being passed on. I am exploring how this will affect pointe shoe production, what it means for dancers as well as the future of the pointe shoe. I was hoping to find someone who has taught and danced and could give their opinion on the subject. I would love to interview you (phone interview of course). Please do let me know if that sounds good to you. Thanks so much!

Sincerely,
Clarice

Answer
HI Clarice. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I had to think this out.

Could you ask again onto this site but make it private? Then I could discuss where my time zone is and how we could do this. Tell me your e-mail when you write privately, and I will e-mail you back.

Thanks! And we'll both keep our e-mails/ph #'s private ok?
