Question
I have been doing the core rythem vidoes three times a week and then I have been doing weight/strentgh training about 2 times a week. I will eat good during the week and then on the weekend I will eat okay. I have not lost anything at all and I have been exercising for about a 6weeks. What am I doing wrong. Can you give me help on my diet.

Answer
Hi Tammy. This situation could depend on so many things.... such as what does "eating good" mean, just to start. But that is not meant as a criticism or challenge in any way. Just that I'm not sure what you mean by that.

That's a link to an article that might give you some clues.

Burning more calories than you eat has always been the essence of losing weight. Yet the above article throws out some different ideas.

It sounds like you are doing excellent exercise Tammy. There are so many factors involved such as, are you digesting your food well, do you metabolize sugars and fats well, is your thyroid function good, is there some hormonal imbalance that prevents you from burning fats. Too many factors for me to answer your question, but perhaps some clues for you to investigate further.

If you have access to medical tests, it wouldn't hurt to discuss your problem with an M.D. and have some blood tests done. If you do not, then you can probably still figure out what your problem is.

The principles discussed in the book "Slow Burn" by Frederick Hahn on weight loss and fat burning are fascinating. Your library may carry it. It was written along with the M.D.'s Eades and Eades, who wrote "Protein Power", another excellent book on metabolism and fat burning. The principles are the same as you will find in books by the famous Dr. Atkins.

So I haven't answered your question at all, but you will learn a lot by continuing your own research with this. Be patient, and you will find what you need to know.

Also know that medical studies have shown that overweight persons who work out are healthier than thin persons who do not. So be confident that until you do lose weight, you have a healthy routine that you shouldn't abandon.

I hope this is of some help, all the best, Dianne.
