Ballet/BFA in Dance/Ballet - Where to Apply

Question
My daughter has been training in classical ballet her entire life.  She dances as an apprentice in a pre-professional training program with a professional ballet. Out of the 100's of BFA's in dance we want 10 to apply too but don't know which ones to narrow the list too.  Her instructors, and directors are all from Russia and Germany and know more how to help with prof. company auditions-not so much the american college scene.  What do you think?

Answer
First of all, if your daughter wants to be a professional ballet dancer, college at this point is not a terrific option.  Companies will take dancers at her age, before college, much more quickly than they will take dancers that have graduated from college, regardless of a BFA.  However, if what she wants is a BFA in dance there are options.  The colleges I know of with the best ballet programs are Butler University, University of Utah, Cincinnati University, and Indiana University.

Expertise

I can answer lots about ballet, specifically the Vaganova syllabus. I'm still training, but both my parents were professional dancers, so most answers will be coming from them, not me. :) They're the experts. Obviously, questions about difficult technique, etc, would be better answered with someone else, but if you're just becoming interested in dancing, or are having problems with basic steps, like pirouettes or plies, then I may be able to help

Experience

I've seen ballet since the age of 0, because of my parents, and I am training to become a professional dancer now.
