Question
I did Ballet from the age of 6 till 10, then stopped as the school closed down, I am now 15 and have taken Ballet up again I am in Grade Four at the minute. I have in the past passed all my exams with distinction, and I skipped ahead a Grade as my teacher thought I was very good. I am planning to audition for the Royal Ballet School (Upper School) in about 6-7 months. Do you think I will be prepared enough?.

Answer
Hi Callan. I couldn't say because acceptance would depends on the competition at the time, as well as your physical abilities and your talent.

You will be assessed for the potential of what you can do in 4-5 years you have left to train. Do all you can - read a lot about ballet technique, and fine tune your own as much as possible.

All the best, Dianne
